Laser Surgery
Airline Animal Health and Surgery Center uses a CO2 laser for almost all surgeries. Laser surgery incorporates a highly focused laser beam to make incisions. CO2 laser surgery is less traumatic to tissue than a traditional steel scalpel.
It seals capillaries, blood vessels, lymphatic vessels and nerve endings, simultaneously. Less hemorrhage results in shorter surgery time with greater precision. Nerves and lymphatic vessels are sealed resulting in less pain and swelling. Advantages of CO2 laser surgery are shorter surgery time, less pain, and quicker recoveries.
