Header Background

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is the newest imaging modality at Airline Animal Health and Surgery Center. Our pet specific, open air MRI uses a 0.3 Tesla magnet to safely and effectively create images of structures and organs with clear resolution. MRI uses a magnetic field and radio frequency (RF) waves to tip hydrogen atoms and produce unmatched 3-D soft tissue imaging. While the principles and physics behind MRI are quite complex, the imaging process itself is noninvasive.

Clients and patients now have access to modern expert imaging without having to travel long distances. We send all MRI cases to a board certified radiologist/neurologist Some of the most common studies include:

• Brain
• Spinal Cord
• Musculoskeletal- noninvasive evaluation of ACL (Anterior cruciate ligament)
• Cancer detection
